I have checked the mic with all the other apps, all the other tests on Mic I have done, but I just cant seem to make the mic work in Zoom meetings. Additionally, The mic. But the speakers don’t work when this happens. It is possible that you’re facing the issue because you haven’t enabled Microphone privacy settings in Windows For step by step instructions.

I checked the privacy settings and it’s enabled. The microphone seems to work everywhere else except Zoom. I went into the Zoom settings, chose the proper microphone, tested it, and it did not work.

That may be causing the issue with the audio. Have you used Skype recently? If so, the software may be preventing Zoom from accessing your microphone. You can quickly solve this issue by turning off all the programs that may be using your microphone. Bear in mind that you can apply this fix to other devices as well. Audio issues, especially if they occur suddenly, may be temporary.

You can try restarting the Zoom app or even your computer and try logging in again. You may discover that your microphone is now working as usual. Logging into Zoom, you can choose to join with audio on immediately upon entering a meeting.

There will be different microphone sources on the list, so choose another and check if other meeting participants can hear you then. Maybe its same with Zoom and Chrome? A recent MS update disabled that in some of our users and I found that you had to set Privacy Settings for the Microphone. Sounded weird to me but it has worked on more that a few systems now. Not sure why it wouldn’t recognize the Owl for both speaker and mic, but that could be a Chromebook driver issue, as Zoom generally just queries the OS for a list of devices that can be used.
